Why we’re here

Who we are. What we’re doing

About My Robot Frenemy

We’re living through one of the most significant technological shifts in human history, and most of the conversation around AI sounds like it’s happening in an echo chamber. Half the voices are selling utopia, the other half are predicting apocalypse. We’re here for the messy, complicated, fascinating reality in between.

This is a place for people who want to dig deeper into what AI actually means for civilization—not just the tech industry, but for how we work, learn, create, and relate to each other. We’re not cheerleaders or doomsayers. We’re curious humans trying to figure out what happens when we share the world with increasingly capable artificial minds.

What We’re About

We believe the most important questions about AI aren’t technical—they’re fundamentally human. How do we maintain agency in a world where machines can outperform us in more and more domains? What does creativity mean when AI can generate art, writing, and music? How do we preserve what’s valuable about human culture while embracing tools that can genuinely help us?

These aren’t questions with easy answers, and that’s exactly why they’re worth exploring. We’re building a space for thoughtful people to wrestle with these ideas together.

Our Approach

Every piece here comes from genuine curiosity and real-world experience. We’re not interested in hot takes or trend-chasing. Instead, we want to understand what’s actually happening as AI becomes woven into the fabric of daily life.

Sometimes that means celebrating genuine breakthroughs. Sometimes it means pointing out when the emperor has no clothes. Always, it means taking the long view and asking: what does this mean for how we live?
